Please read, add your thoughts, and share anything interesting you find. I have been a teacher for more years than I would like to admit at this point. I began teaching with a homeschool student, went back to school to get certified and a masters degree, and taught in the Chicago Public School system until I had kid #2. Then, my husband and I packed up the kids and moved back to the Philadelphia area to be near family. Since then, I have been teaching in an independent school outside Philadelphia. I taught 5th grade for seven years and then became the Director of Educational Technology. Now, my title is Director of Curricular Innovation and Learning Design. In addition, I teach some English in the Upper School and a Design Thinking class (formerly Digital Fabrication) in the Makerspace, observe teachers, work with our teaching fellows program, and co-lead the curricular group with the Division Heads..

I was an NAIS Teacher of the Future in 2009-2010. Here is a link to my very non-slcik video about it.

On Twitter I am WendyE40.

Sarah, I’m so glad you enjoyed reading. I am finally getting enough in the habit of blogging that it seems kind of part of what I do. I hope you are enjoying being in PLP.
